When you have suffered as long as I have, you simply give up on humans. I grew up on the streets, having to fend for myself for as long as I can remember. When I got sick, nothing changed. My suffering went on, ignored and unheeded. My name is Jazinda and I am the dog nobody loved.

I was found by a Soi Dog mobile clinic, cowering in a corner. Two large tumours dominated my face. I was scared and defensive when the Animal Rescue Officer approached me. You would be too if you had never known a kind word or a loving touch from a human being.

Now that I am at the Soi Dog shelter, a man called Dr Eugene is caring for me. I am still scared; it will take me a long time to learn to trust humans. Dr Eugene is gentle with me and tells me my tumours are very common among the street dogs of Thailand, which means the doctors here have a lot of experience in making them better.

Soi Dog can only care for me with the support of people like you. There is no other help available for us. We did not ask to be born into this world of suffering but only you can change it.
