Soi Dog Foundation - Join The Care For Cats Club

AT THE AGE OF 5 MONTHS, I WAS ALL ALONE AND IN A WORLD OF PAIN. THEN, SOMEONE LIKE YOU SAVED MY LIFE…

At such a young age, I didn’t understand yet how cruel this world can be. My name is Cheeser and my home has always been the street, like so many other cats and kittens here in Thailand. There were kind people who fed me, as many do with the stray animals in their communities, but I had never known a home of my own.

I will never forget the day I met the angry dog. I am only a little girl and I tried to run away, but he was too fast for me. Locking his jaws around me, he shook me until I thought I would die. His teeth were sharp around my head and face and I felt the most agonising pain in my eye. A kind person who saw what was happening managed to chase the dog away and ran to call the Soi Dog shelter.

Dr Su at Soi Dog was so kind to me but it was too late to save one of my eyes, which had been so badly damaged it had to be removed. Don’t worry, I was asleep when they did this, so I didn’t feel a thing. I do remember that when I woke up, the pain was finally gone.

I am recovering well now and learning to live life as a one-eyed cat. It’s not so bad. When I think about how things could have ended up so differently, it makes me scared to think what a narrow escape I had. My life was saved by people like you – the members of the Care for Cats Club.

Without the existing members, I would have died on that street, alone and in unbearable agony. When that kind person called Soi Dog, they could only help because of the donations of Care for Cats Club members. However, the club desperately needs more people to join if more cats like me are to be saved.

Do you love cats? Will you please join the Care for Cats Club today to give the suffering cats of Thailand a second chance? They simply won’t make it without you; you truly are their only hope.

It really doesn’t take a lot to make a difference to their lives – please click on my pictures to see just how much you can help, starting today.

Join the Care for Cats Club and your donation will go towards feeding the hungry, treating the sick, spaying and neutering, and providing a safe place for those who have been mistreated.
