SPCA advises all public to co-operate with the State/Federal services to remove rabies from the State as expeditiously as possible.
Steps that the public should take are:
1. Have all your pet dogs vaccinated against rabies as soon as possible through your veterinarian.
2. Do not allow your dogs to wander on the streets or in public places without a leash (post rabies vaccination).
3. Interstate movement of dogs is not allowed except with the permission (permit given) from the State Veterinary Department.
SPCA will not take in any strays until the State is declared Rabies Free.
Thank you for your co-operation.
