An appeal from Sai Mei (019-3385052):

Hi Dr. Chan,
Please help. I live in Bandar Teknologi Kajang. There are 5 female cats behind my hse. They are constantly giving birth. Many of the kittens have died as it seems the mothers will leave them to fend for themselves after a few weeks. I have been feeding them whenever I have food. But I am actually terrified of cats. If any of them were to come near my leg, sometimes I wld scream! As much as I wld love to bring them in to be spayed, I can't bear the thought of catching them as the idea is terrifying in itself. There are also 2 kittens from one the female cats which are also blind. They look like the one shown in your website which u said may hava glaucoma. I really really pity the kittens. It seemed the mother has become less caring for the kittens. She has also left the kittens behind my kitchen.
Can someone please help bring all those cats and kittens to the vet? I am willing to make a donation to animal care. I have learnt so much from reading your stories from your website. Unfortunately, I am still terrified of cats. I wld really appreciate it if u can help.
Thanks.
Regards,
Sai Mei

Sai Mei probably has a phobia of cats, which is perfectly understanable, so is there anyone out there who can help her catch the cats? We have traps to lend out, if you'd like to use them. Once caught, we will sponsor the spay-neuter and subsidise the medical treatment, if required.

Please help, if you can. Contact Sai Mei directly, please.

Or, if you can offer any helpful advice, please leave a comment on this post.

Thank you.
