The SPCA was alerted to a video clip featuring an electronic dance music DJ, based in Singapore, putting a dog on a tray and then in an oven, in jest. The clip may have been taken down by now.

We privately messaged the person in question, to remind her of her loyal following, and that whatever actions she undertakes has consequences, especially that arising from the inappropriateness of putting a live animal in the oven, even as a joke.

We appeal to all public figures to be constantly mindful of the influence their actions can have over their online viewers and how animal welfare should never be compromised at all, in their attempt to engage their followers.

We thank the concerned member of the public for the alert.
