Chico Was Rescued From Slaughter. Please Adopt Her.

I was saved from a painful, horrible death. How could anyone want to eat me? I am now looking for my forever home, a long way from the life I live now.

Snatched in the dead of night, crushed into a cage with many other dogs, and driven away on a truck to cross the border. I could not understand why I was in this cage and why these people were doing this to me. Being small, it was terrifying with so many other dogs barking and crying out in pain. I kept asking myself why I was there.

I am a sweet girl, around 5 years old. Some days are good and some days are bad. I am a little bit scared of all the other dogs so I hide in the concrete pipes or under the salas. I really want to get out. I am learning to cope, but I am not used to living in a shelter. I wish for my own family to love, a patient and caring family who will give me the love I need to become the confident dog I once was.
