Twinkle and Jingle go back a long way....
Their mother, Moonie, was rescued by Julie Pek on a moonlit night. Moonie delivered Twinkle and Jingle in Julie's house, a day apart. Fast forwarded, the two sisters were adopted by Beverly, and it's one of those dream-come-true stories that every rescuer-rehomer prays for...
The two sisters now...
Sometimes I do wonder...what is it that determines one's destiny? Why do some animals get to such wonderful homes yet some do not. I've come to conclude that it isn't about looks or chance. I cannot find any better word to describe it...affinity?
Remember Russell? He was this extremely young, handsome and healthy brown dog we rescued from the Klang Pound, but tried as we did, nobody wanted him. I brought this couple who had wanted a big dog, to take a look and they said, "Nope, we don't want him".
Then, we also had Roger, an old black dog, just recovered from tick fever (also rescued from the pound). Roger had just been neutered and our vet had carried him down from upstairs when I brought the couple to the clinic. Roger was completely knocked out with his tongue hanging out and the man took one look at him and said, "YES, I want this one!"
And that's it.
You tell me...is it not affinity?
