ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT: NELLY, recently rescued from a car engine compartment
Nelly, a 9-year-old beige/white female Cross-Persian, was rescued by SPCA from being trapped in a car’s engine compartment somewhere along Petir Road, on 18 July 2015.
Mohan and Glen, SPCA’s staff who required about 40 minutes to free Nelly from her ordeal, found her covered in grease and dirt and looking very distraught.
Nelly was taken to SPCA’s clinic and shelter where she was then put up for adoption from yesterday (12 August), after a few weeks of recuperation. Her superficial wounds have suitably healed by now, and she is coping well, following from veterinary observation and treatment.
Her left eye has actually healed quite considerably from possibly being injured from an earlier trauma. Cosmetically though, it does look different from her right eye. In spite of that, she’s a highly adoptable and sweet cat, and has so much love and joy to give to her eventual forever family! Our shelter staff do find her affectionate and liking so much to be stroked, patted and pampered.
We hope a kind, committed family out there will come forward to give this sweet kitty a home.
To adopt Nelly, do come by our shelter any day, except Thursdays, between 11am and 3pm.
Nelly’s adoption profile is posted on this page:-
