Dear Dr. Chan,

I would like to apply for a subsidy for the neutering of a male cat – Sausage.

Sausage is a new stray cat in the neighbourhood. He was very thin and looked very unhealthy when we first saw him. Now that we have fatten him up, he is healthy enough to be castrated. Sausage is up for adoption. However, if there are no takers, we might need to release him back to the neighbourhood.
