A request from Jaclyn (012-6973257):
I found this dog in my neighbour's home as my neighbour has moved out from the house. She was left there alone with food and water and was bound to end up being another stray. I could not bear the sight of having the dog being left fending for herself, hence, I am right now trying to find it a home. Bringing it to the shelter was a no-no, as I tried, and they told me it was a "put to sleep" case as it was more than 5 years old (she is 7 years). I think it would be cruel as it has been around humans for so long, and to put it to sleep, as if it were some stray is just not right. She is healthy and always wags its tails when she sees me. I think it knew that it was abandoned as well as when I left her at the vet to get vaccinated, she was barking and I guess, did not want to be left behind. I can imagine the feeling of being unwanted, and I do not want this dog to be that way too as she is a happy dog, as long as she gets a chance to know you. She is a good guard dog as I noticed she tends to bark at strangers, but after getting to know her, like when I started to give her food, she was happy and wagged her tail and let me play with her. After trying the shelter, I then put her on Petfinder. However, although she is on Petfinder, I cannot keep her at my place is a rented place, I have no say in keeping pets here. Thus, I am urgently looking for a foster while I find someone who can show love and care to this dog.
Jaclyn says the dog has been spayed. If you can help to foster or better still, to adopt, please contact Jaclyn as soon as possible.
