UPDATE ON FRANLE AS SHE RECOVERS FROM TRAUMA

Do you remember me? I am a girl called Franle and I recently told you my story, after arriving at the Soi Dog shelter having been hit by a car. I had a very serious injury on my back left leg and was in tremendous pain.

The nasty wound on my leg meant it was exposed right down to the bone and a terrible infection had set in. I was at serious risk of dying from blood poisoning and I’m sorry to say this is almost certainly what would have happened if it were not for kind-hearted Soi Dog supporters.

A kind person who found me called Soi Dog and soon after that, I arrived at the shelter and in to the care of Dr. Win. I heard him say that so much of the bone tissue in my leg had died that there was no option but to remove my leg.

They gave me special medicine to make me sleep when this happened and so I felt nothing. All I know is that when I woke up, the pain was gone. I am now learning to move around on 3 legs and the vets are confident I will make a full recovery.

I am here in Soi Dog’s tiny clinic, with so many other sick and injured dogs. It is the only space there is for us, while we wait for our new hospital to be finished. I have heard a lot of talk about this special place, a dedicated hospital for the dogs of Thailand.

The vets say that the tiny clinic here can no longer cope with the number of dogs it has to treat and so this new hospital is desperately needed. Building work has started but it cannot be completed without the funds to do so.

Will YOU please be a part of this hospital? By becoming an Angel for Dogs, your donations will be used to finish the building work, buy all the equipment needed, and keep the hospital running so that many more lives can be saved.

Please make the dream of a hospital a reality for dogs like me. Click on my photo to become an Angel for Dogs.

The dogs of Thailand urgently need your help. Soi Dog’s vet clinic is far too small for the number of neglected, injured and abused dogs it cares for and dogs are suffering and dying as a result. Please donate about a dollar a day to help them.
