MEET CHIMERA. SHE IS SAFE, THANKS TO SOMEONE LIKE YOU.

I am a 2 year old girl rescued from the streets of Thailand. They call me Chimera. Life can be tough for dogs like me. With no owner to care for us, we are always at risk of dying from serious illness or injury.

In my case, I was hit by a speeding car and left with a very badly injured back leg. I will never forget the pain. I was unable to walk or even to stand. I lay there for a long time before an Animal Rescue Officer from Soi Dog found me in the course of his duties.

At the shelter, I was examined by a nice vet called Dr. Eed but sadly, my leg was so severely damaged it had to be removed. The vets gave me special medicine to make me sleep and when I woke up, my leg was gone and so was the pain.

Since then, I have recovered well and I am really good at using my remaining 3 legs to get around just as well as I did before. Now that I am better, I have been moved into a run with some other dogs who are now my friends. I hope one day that someone will adopt me and give me the life I have never had to date.

Despite everything, I am still one of the lucky dogs of Thailand. I was rescued and I am safe. Please think of the others that need you.
