This morning, I brought June and Orange (Only-One's mother-cat) to the clinic. Orange's spaying is scheduled for today.
Another physical examination to ensure that Orange is fit for the operation.
After that, I took June to buy kitten food for Only-One and mum.
Orange has been spayed now and Wei Leng's sister has taken her back to the shop. The vet just called to say Orange is fully awake and is in fact, very healthy, judging from her reaction to the anaesthesia. Sometimes, all it takes is good nutrition (we bought IAMS Kitten food for Only-One and Orange, and she has been on it for one week). Food really makes a difference.
As I was driving June back this morning, she told me that Only-One is now very active and has put on weight. Just last week, Only-One was brought in in a totally emaciated condition and we thought she was going to fade away. Her other three siblings have died. Quick action, proper care and good nutrition (plus deworming) did the trick and saved Only-One.
Orange's spaying is jointly sponsored by Wei Leng and June.
