Indys Many Adventures

Ever since Indy has proved to us that he isn’t waiting to escape to someone’s roof, he has been getting daily trips out.
Indy will always be Indy. He lives up to his name.
Why is this plank loose? Who made it loose?
Wait, what is going on out there? What’s that noise?
Ginger watches from a safe place.
Wait the humans are getting worried about me. I’ll just sit down and pretend to be contented.
He he…I’m off again.
From here, I can easily jump up onto that ledge and then, I’m off!
This is where we scoop him up and take him back into the room. End of trip out.
Now, here are photos from another trip out:
Sniff, sniff…who has been here?
Why isn’t my smell here? I’m the rooftop specialist. My smell must be on all rooftops.
Yes, me. You’re looking at the rooftop specialist here. Me. Indy.
Ah, I remember that playground. That’s where I escaped to when we first moved here. That was fun, actually, but also scary. I came running back when I heard my humans calling my name. It was already dark. He he…those were the days. My humans haven’t stopped talking about that episode. They still wonder where I went. How far I explored. He he…I’m not telling or they will completely freak out. Shh….
My days of chasing the outside intruders are gone. I’m cool with them now.
Shh…don’t tell my humans, but I know that if I chase them, they will not let me out anymore. So, shh…you do what is necessary.
Hey you! Hello! I’m friendly, don’t worry.
For the record, Daffodil has lived out on the streets for at least 10 years before she decided to adopt our house. Actually, it’s more like 12 years, I think. And the other day, when Cow came out and it was too close for comfort, Cow lunged at Daffodil. My heart completely stopped for that split second. Then, Daffodil hissed back, without moving an inch.
I did not wait to see what would happen next, I scooped Cow and took him back inside.
I can only hope that cats follow dogs’ rule: Age rules. That’s it. If you are younger than me, you bow to me. End of story.
Do cats follow this rule?
Bobby used to rule our whole road last time in our old neighbourhood as he was the oldest dog on the road. Other (even bigger) dogs had to lower their tails when they walked past our gate. With dogs, it is not about size. It was about age. At least that’s what I’ve seen with Bobby.
But cats? What is their rule?
Maybe cats have their own rules.
But so does Cow. And Cow’s rule is: Cow rules.
After a trip out, Indy will ask for food.
He prefers to go to the source.
Coming up next: The big Cow-Indy fight.
Again???
