Another Big Cow-Indy Fight
Tweet |
The last “big” fight they had was when Indy swiped at Cow’s right eye and left him one-eyed for a few months. If you had been following the blog, that was certainly one of the most challenging tasks I have ever had to face.
And during the time when Cow’s third eyelid was sewn up (that took 22 days, I think) and later, he went through a second round, but this time was without the third eyelid operation, there were no fights in Bunny’s Place.
And the reason is obvious, all fights are Cow-related. He is the common denominator.
And we cannot do anything about it. Cow is just Cow.
Fighting is second nature to him.
And once he recovered from his second eye ulcer, the fighting started again.
It was usually Cow-and-Bunny, but sometimes, it was also Cow-and-Indy. A few days ago, we saw two more fights – Cow-and-Pole and Cow-and-Cleo.
Cow is always the common denominator in all things related to fights.
And this is why Tiger and Tabs are always, always, always trying to flee from Bunny’s Place. Our inside tabbies don’t stand a chance against Cow. They already don’t stand a chance against Bunny, so what more, Cow.
Tiger: Let me give you a simple puzzle to solve. How do you think I’ve survived for 9 years living with the Cows without getting into any fight at all? You ever heard of me getting injured or even scratched? You figure it out, okay? I’m just saying…
Let me get back to my story now…
So it was last night that a huge fight broke out between Cow and Indy.
Of course we had to intervene before someone’s eye gets ulcerated again.
No photos of the aftermath as it was quite fiery. Both had paw injuries, with minimal bleeding. Cow had quite a number of scratches around his neck area. Both were wiped down (they were full of saliva…yucks!) and given Vetri DMG. The bleeding paws and other wounds were cleaned with Dermacyn and sprayed with Path-Away.
It was a locked-body type of fight.
Here are photos two hours after the fight and the first-aid.
We don’t know who started the fight this time, but in the afternoon, Indy was already scolding Cow in the garden.
Bunny decided to take sides. After all, he too gets attacked by Cow.
And Tabs was so, so scared she quickly sneaked out the moment we opened the grill even though she is grounded for a week. A few days ago, she went out and escaped out of the gate.
This was taken this morning.
No fevers. No deep wounds except for Cow’s paw, I think. The rest are just scratches.
Tiger: So, have you figured it out?
Wait a minute!!! You mean YOU are actually the alpha at Bunny’s Place???
