What are #mangroves? Mangrove are amazing trees that can grow where no tree has grown before – in the inhospitable tidal zone between the land and the sea. They are able to survive in high levels of salt water and in “soil” or mud which is unstable and has low oxygen. Mangroves confer many benefits on humans living in their midst, performing major ecosystem services and protecting us from hurricanes and storm surges.
