Aimy texted a few days ago to say she has finally spotted Herbie again - it looks like Herbie has chosen to live with her neighbour now.
Herbie is this extremely spunky little kitten (estimated to be about 5 months old) whose rescuer/feeder had to give up for fostering/adoption because Herbie had made her place of work her "home". The boss wasn't too happy about a cat making herself at home at the office, so the feeder asked if I could find a fosterer/rehomer for Herbie.
Aimy offered, but after just one night, Herbie escaped from Aimy's house despite being confined in a cage. Aimy said Herbie escaped from the top of the cage. I informed Herbie's feeder and she wasn't surprised at all because she said Herbie IS extremely intelligent and resourceful.
Herbie came back to eat for several days after that but eluded re-capture. All Aimy and her daughter, Natasya, would see was a quick whiff of grey fur but the food would be all gone.
I've been checking in on Herbie's news every few days and am glad Herbie has "adopted" Aimy's neighbour now. The neighbour is also a cat-lover.
Herbie was spayed, vaccinated and given a clean bill of health by the vet before she was given up for fostering.
