Tiger, Our Ahimsa-Cat

Tiger is our most harmless and gentle cat. He’s the one with the fiercest-sounding name, but has remained the gentlest among all the cats we’ve ever had or fostered.

Most of our cats chase after moving small objects, inanimate or animate. Tabs, for example, who is normally a scaredy cat, turns into a complete monster when she sees cicadas.

Here’s Tiger last night, watching a little insect go about its business on the floor.

It’s all too common for cats to paw on moving insects, but not Tiger.

He just watches the little tyke.

Ahimsa is Tiger’s guiding principle.
