Gifts By Donation: Two Pink Blankets

Remember the lady who visited our Wesak booth who came with the two daughters who love the colour pink?

Well, she ordered another two blankets and they must be pink!

It’s been quite some time since I sewed a blanket. Somehow, after I recovered in January, our blankets had already lost their appeal. Well, nothing good lasts forever. Will just have to make hay while the sun shines and once that’s past, we have to look for other means to raise funds for the animals.

So, when this lady wanted two blankets, it was nice to sew for a purpose again!

The cats helped, and they were glad it was blanket season again too.

This pink doggie cloth is contributed by Ms Ooi and the balloons cloth by Chen Chen.
Thank you both, very much.

It’s a simple design so that the doggies can be seen.

Next, luckily Ms Ooi had bought another piece of pink cloth.

This pink giraffe is from Ms Ooi as well.

The striped sashing is from our own stash.

The backing for both is done by my mum.

Our next blanket order is from one of our regular readers too. It’s a (groundbreaking!) 8ft by 12ft blanket for her cats! I’ve never sewn anything so big, so that’s going to be a delightful challenge!
