ACRES STAFF RETREAT 2015

From July 1st to 3rd, the ACRES team went for a retreat at Kota Tinggi. This was for the team to join together to discuss our plans and projects for the rest of the year. It was also a chance for all of us to bond and get to know each other better.

The first day was an intense day of discussions and presentations of our action plans. We ended the day with some heavenly durians and a chit-chat session!

The following day was filled with team-building activities such as rock climbing, trekking and paintball, and we ended the tiring day with a chilled evening and karaoke session, with even more durians!

The entire ACRES team would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the volunteers and interns who helped to run and take care of the AWRC during our absence. Your help made this retreat possible.

Now that we have had some precious time to rest, have fun and discuss our plans for the year, we are energised to continue advocating for an end to animal cruelty! Do follow us in our endeavours, and your support for our work will make a huge difference for the animals.

ACRES (Animal Concerns Research & Education Society) is a pioneering Singapore-based charity and Institution of Public Character, founded by Singaporeans in 2001 with the aim of promoting animal welfare.

ACRES has six focus areas: Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, Wildlife Crime Investigation, Zoo Animal Welfare, Humane Education, Community Outreach and Promoting Cruelty-Free Living.
