Help Make Dogs Like Slater Smile Again - Join The Emergency Response Team

THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME SMILE AGAIN

Hi, its Slater here. I really was not in a good state when I first came to Soi Dog. I was weak and very skinny and was suffering from a horrible thing called blood parasites. I was all alone on the street with no one to turn to. I barely even had enough energy to scavenge for food for myself.

Once I arrived at the Soi Dog clinic, the vets gave me some medication to help fight the blood parasites. They were really worried and were not sure if I could be saved. The day I took my first bite of food, the vets had hope that I would make it. I won’t lie to you, it has been touch and go for me. I would feel good some days and eat all by myself, but other days I felt terrible, had diarrhoea and a fever and I had to be force fed.

I have been getting treatment for many weeks now, but I can finally say I am feeling much better. I have now been moved out of the clinic and into the treatment runs where I get to spend time with the other dogs and have more space. Life is finally starting to look brighter.

My treatment would not have been possible without the special people who are part of the Emergency Response Team. Without these generous supporters, dogs like me could not get the care we so desperately need.

Sadly though, there are many more dogs out there just like me, who have no one to turn to. You don’t have to live in Thailand to help them. You can do so by becoming a member of the Emergency Response Team. I promise you, the dogs you help with be very grateful, as I know I am that my life has been saved.
