Help End The Suffering For Cats Like Michelle

ATTACKED BY A DOG AND DESPERATELY NEEDING HELP

My name is Michelle and let me tell you, life can be tough for a street cat like me.

Don’t get me wrong, I get by ok. I manage to find enough food and shelter to keep me going, but obviously nothing compares to having a family to call my own and a soft bed. Kind locals often feed me and for that I am very grateful.

My world was turned upside down recently when I came across a less than friendly dog. I tried to keep my distance, as you never know how a dog is going to react to you. Unfortunately, this particular dog reacted badly to me and attacked me mercilessly. I honestly thought he was going to kill me.

I managed to get away from him, but with me came a trail of blood, which was so frightening to see. This dog had managed to bite me very badly under my leg and the pain was horrendous, like nothing I had ever experienced before.

I had almost lost hope being in so much pain and feeling very weak, when one of the kind locals who feeds me saw that I was badly injured. They called Soi Dog to come and help me. I was whisked straight to the clinic and into the hands of the kind vet on duty. Her name was Dr Hope and she was so gentle and sweet to me.

Dr Hope treated my wound and gave me some medicine to help with the pain and then I was given a soft bed to rest on and a good meal. I knew I was in a safe place to recover.

Once I started to feel a bit better, I started to chat to the other cats that were also undergoing treatment. They told me that we were helped also by people who are members of the Emergency Response Team. They said these people make sure we can get the care we need. They said we were the lucky ones and that there were still cats out there that need help and that Soi Dog needs more people to join this Emergency Response Team, so more cats can get the care they need.

Would you like to help more cats like me? I can assure you, us cats are very appreciative of any help you can give us. For more information on being part of the Emergency Response Team, please click on my very handsome photo below.
