A CHILD�S COMPASSION CREATES HOPE FOR ANIMALS

At ACRES, we never stop believing in a brighter future for our furry, feathery and scaly friends. And we know that children play a vital role in creating this brighter future. That�s why our Humane Education programmes are a crucial component of our work.

Every now and then, we hear of touching stories of compassion that show there is indeed hope for the animals. Here is one such story about a little boy who attended an ACRES talk on animal protection a few months ago:

Recently, as he was walking around a neighbourhood with his family, he caught sight of birds on public display, each being kept in a tiny cage. There were many of them. He turned to his parents and said, �These birds are not happy.�

More children are now learning how to look at things through the animals� eyes, and showing more compassion as a result. This is the fruit of education.
