Only YOU Can Help Dogs Like Cassondra!

HOW MUCH SHOULD ONE DOG HAVE TO GO THROUGH?

My name is Cassondra and I am only one and a half years old. In my short life I have been hit by a car, have had a mass in my abdomen and most recently I have been attacked by another dog.

I am typical of a Thai street dog, getting by day to day with the help of some kind locals who feed and keep an eye on me. They also get me help if I need it.

I thought I had it pretty good until a new dog moved into my neighbourhood. I tried to be friends with him, but he had other ideas. He tried to challenge me for my territory and sadly I came off second best and ended up with some pretty nasty wounds.

The locals who looked out for me were really worried about my wounds so they called Soi Dog. A nice man called Khun Jaroon came to pick me up and took me back to the clinic. I was a bit worried as I didn’t know where he was taking me, but once I arrived I just knew I was in a good place.

The vets and nurses were really nice to me. They told me I was very lucky the nice people in my neighbourhood called them, as my wounds were starting to get infected. They said if the infection spread through my body it could kill me. It was very scary to be told that.

I am now taking medicine to make sure the infection goes away and I am being checked by the vets every single day to make sure I am getting better.

Khun Ton, who is making sure I get plenty to eat and take all my medicine told me I need to thank some people who have helped me, the members of the Emergency Response Team. He said that without their help, Soi Dog would not be able to help dogs like me. It makes me so happy to know that there are people out there who care about me!

I did also hear that there are lots more dogs out there who need help like I did, but more members of the Emergency Response Team are needed to be able to help them too. I am so grateful that I have been helped, but I really hope all the other dogs who need it can get the same care I am getting.

You don’t need to be in Thailand to make a difference in animal’s lives. The only way Soi Dog can continue to rescue animals like me is with YOUR support. Will you help? Will you please join the Emergency Response Team today?
