Help Dogs Like Gnome Get The Hospital They Desperately Need

WILL YOU PLEASE HELP DOGS LIKE ME GET OUR HOSPITAL?

I am only a year old but the only life I�ve ever known, like millions of other dogs in Thailand, is life on the streets. It�s harsh and it�s dangerous and sometimes, dogs like me just don�t make it. I am a girl called Gnome.

I was picked up suffering from horrendous skin problems. Most of my fur had fallen out, what little I had left was thin and sparse, just small tufts on my emaciated body. I heard the vets say I had a terrible case of something called mange.

I am very scared right now and sometimes, I do try to bite the vets when they are trying to examine me or give me medicine. They talk gently to me and they say they are trying to help me but I just can�t trust them. Why should I? Nobody has ever helped me before.

There are many of us here, in this tiny clinic � so many sick and so many injured. It is a small space for this number of dogs, but the other dogs tell me the vets are doing their best and that I shouldn�t be scared. It�s not easy.

I hear the vets talk about a special place that is being built � it is called a dog hospital, and they say it�s especially for dogs like me. If it gets finished, it will mean sick and injured dogs no longer have to crowd into Soi Dog�s tiny clinic. This special hospital will have lots more space and all the things they need to make dogs like me better.

They say it can�t be finished yet because they need more funds. They say they need people to become Angels for Dogs to make this happen. Can YOU make this happen?
