WILL YOU HELP DOGS LIKE ME GET THE HOSPITAL WE NEED?

I am an old girl now, over 12 years of age, and I have lived a long, lonely life on the streets. My name is Savita.

I was found with an extremely swollen belly. It was so bad I could barely walk; I was so weak I could hardly stand. I had been suffering for some time but there was nobody to help me. Eventually, I just gave up and waited to die.

I will never forget the day I was found by the kind person who contacted Soi Dog. I was scared and in pain when the Animal Rescue Officer picked me up, but he was gentle and I placed my trust in him. I was too weak to struggle.

At the shelter, I heard the vets say I had something called ascites, which meant there was a build-up of fluid in my tummy. They drained a lot of this fluid away – 4 litres the first day, 4 and a half litres the following day.

Now I have to have an x-ray on my tummy and chest but the Soi Dog clinic does not have one. This means I will have to be taken on another journey, to a special vet surgery with this machine.

I hear the vets here talk about the new dog hospital that is being built at the shelter. It will do so much to help dogs like me and it will have a special room just for these x-ray things. But more funds are needed to make this happen.

Dogs like me are so close to getting this special hospital that will save thousands of lives. Will you please be a part of it? Will you please sign up to make sure the building work can be finished and kept running?

By doing this, you will become an Angel for Dogs like me. We don’t deserve to suffer the way we do; we have done nothing wrong.

Please change our world and end our suffering by making the dog hospital happen. We really need it and we really need you.

By donating each month to build and operate a proper hospital you will be the angel that these dogs need, ensuring they receive lifesaving treatment.
