This Doggie May Find Justice Under Newly Passed Act

Earlier this week, SSPCA lodged a police report on the latest animal abuse case. On June 6, a female stray dog was found at Lorong Setia Raja 4E4 in Taman Casa Marbella here with a triple-pronged hook embedded in her right gum and pierced through her lower jaw.

Dewan Rakyat passed the Animal Welfare Bill 2015 last Wednesday 17 June 2015 to promote responsible welfare and ownership of animals. It could not come soon enough in response to heightened public awareness and increasing cases of animal abuse nationwide.
