THE CAMPAIGN AGAINST VIETNAMS DOG MEAT TRADE GATHERS MOMENTUM

At the time of writing, almost half a million Vietnamese animal lovers have protested the unbelievable cruelty involved in this trade by signing the Vietnamese-language version of the petition: http://bit.ly/End_The_Dog_Meat_Trade_In_Vietnam

The transport of unvaccinated dogs between countries such as Vietnam and Laos, and between provinces within Vietnam, has resulted in outbreaks of cholera, rabies and other serious diseases. Underscoring the health risks to humans is the only way this trade may one day be eliminated.

With this in mind, billboards have been erected along the highway that leads to the border crossing between Vietnam and Laos. The billboard headline states: RABIES CAUSES DEATH, with the rest of the text reading, Illegally importing and transporting live dogs or dog meat will result in confiscation of the consignment and prosecution by law.

Permission has also been granted for billboards to be erected along the national highway leading from 6 central provinces to Hanoi.

Please join Vietnams animal lovers in sending a message directly to their government. Please SIGN THE PETITION to help end the barbaric slaughter of millions of Vietnamese dogs every year: http://bit.ly/End_The_Dog_Meat_Trade_In_Vietnam
