~The Story Of Bravery~

Bravery (name given due to her bravery and strong will to survive) was abandoned outside our shelter in a very bad condition. Foul smell was flowing out from her fresh open wound on her back. And what add on to our horror was she is left only with one ear. Whether she has been attacked by other dogs or been intentionally abused by some sick humans, we do not know. All we know then was this fragile life needed to be saved. As it was a Sunday then and all vet clinics were closed, we have no choice but to keep her in for the night. She hid herself at one corner looking lonely and sad. It broke our volunteers hearts seeing her at such state.

Madam Tan sent Bravery to the vet clinic the very next day for treatment and she has since undergone few surgeries to have her wound cleaned and stitched up. Bravery put up a brave fight when she was later diagnosed with pneumonia. Slowly she recovered and gained her confidence, after more than a month recuperating at the vet clinic.

Bravery, currently under foster care is all well and doing great. Her latest photos, showing a happy smiling face definitely worth more than a million dollars.

We would also like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere appreciation to all our donors who helped contribute to Braverys medical bills. It is you who make this rescue a success. Thank you!

SPCA Seberang Perai

The SPCA Seberang Perai is a society registered in September 2005. Our primary aim is to reduce the population of stray animals or possibly a zero stray population in a humane manner. With lesser strays or no strays at all, the loving value of animals will be greatly increased and you can be sure that humans will shower more love for their pets and be responsible pet owners. The problem should not only be shouldered by our Society as the public must also understand the urgent need to control the pet population and give their whole-hearted support to all our projects for the undertaking to be successful. Then we will achieve a clean and hygienic environment for the community. As a no killing organization, we are embarking on a two-prong approach towards the problem i.e public education and sterilization of the stray animals.
