Dr Veeranoot wrote today to say that all the 4 kittens are doing well at the vet's, after just 3 days' of boarding for treatment.
Even the weakest one, Thongkon, is doing well, and all can be discharged, one by one, probably by next week.
Dr Veeranoot has also spoken to the sanctuary's president and he said the lady who adopted them wanted to adopt all four and subsequently, she had not gone back to the sanctuary to ask for advice.
I presume the sanctuary, as with most shelters, also do not have the resources to follow-up on adoption cases as they have too many cases to deal with.
But this is another case of acting fast enough on the part of Dr Veeranoot. If not, it could be bad news by now.
We are relieved all the four kittens are well.
I guess this is also why some rescuers refuse to give up their animals for adoption (presumably after many bad experiences) and instead, adopt the animals themselves. Some know how to draw the line somewhere and say, "no more, this is as many as I can adopt" while some do not draw the line, and end up as "hoarders". These would be those who keep taking in animals but cannot provide enough for them.
