A MESSAGE FOR ALL DONORS TO OUR RECENT APPEAL TO SAVE SINGAPORES DOLPHINS!
Thank you so much for your generous contributions so far! Our online Indiegogo fundraising campaign has come to an end, and weve managed to raise USD $4920 (SGD $6680)!
While we still need more funding, your support has helped us to get the project well underway and enabled us to acquire vital research equipment.
Your contributions will help us to learn more about wild dolphins and how to protect them, as well as fostering an appreciation of dolphins in their natural home among the public, with a view to ending the captive dolphin industry.
We are really happy and grateful to have your support!
For the people who have donated via a named account, we have gathered your contact information via the indiegogo page. However, there are some donors who did not leave any means of contact. If you did not receive any email from us regarding the perks, do drop us an email at claire@acres.org.sg, with your FULL NAME, MAILING ADDRESS and CONTACT NUMBER, so that we can give you the perks you truly deserve!
To the people who donated anonymously, we are equally grateful for your great support. We regret to say that, because the donations are anonymous, we are unable to contact you and thus unable to give you the perks that you deserve. We will never forget how you have helped the dolphins.
Meanwhile, we are continuing carry out land-based surveys on the island, and interviewing the islanders. We are delighted to share that some islanders have reported sightings of several dolphins recently, including a mother Indo-Pacific humpback dolphin and her calf! Its been heartening that people have called our hotline number to notify us of dolphin sightings, aiding in the progress of our research. In the coming months, we will be organising a few activities to raise funds for more boat surveys, so that we can cover a wider geographical range.
You can keep up to date with the latest news from the dolphin team on the ACRES Facebook page!
If youd like to make a donation to our project to save dolphins, please email Isabelle at isabelle@acres.org.sg
