HORSE DESTINED FOR “DINNER” IS RESCUED!

This horse in Bosnia was just rescued from a trader taking him to the slaughterhouse. Just a week ago, the horse was a family pet, but like so many, he was eventually sold for his weight in ‘meat’. But thanks to a split-second intervention, he won’t be meat. Today and tomorrow and the day after, he’ll simply be a horse. For a lifetime, he’ll be free to graze and gallop and feel the tickle of the meadow grass against his legs.

Summer isn’t an easy time. Donations do drop off quite a bit. But we’re thankful that we can still help with so many small acts of mercy like this one.
