My name is Dorothy. PLEASE ADOPT ME!

A donation has been made towards my flight costs!

E-mail alex@soidog.org to adopt me!

I am a girl of nearly 6 years old and have been residing at Soi Dog, Phuket, Thailand for over 4 years now.

I was found beaten and malnourished. I could not walk and due to a previous bout of distemper, I was left with uncontrollable body shakes. I am truly grateful that I was rescued in my hour of need and given all the veterinary care I required.

Since coming to Soi Dog I have rather made a name for myself. I am the ‘Lady of the Manor’ in my run. I now have a rather fabulous thick cream and tan coat and beautiful tan coloured ears which droop slightly at the ends to rather dashing effect.

I’ve heard people refer to me as a ‘lioness’ due to my majestic good looks and my place within the run. My walker actually told me I am incredibly photogenic and that I look like a 1950′s film star in my shelter profile picture. Can you imagine?!

I don’t take any nonsense from the other dogs in my pen and I occasionally ‘step in’ to stop the naughty ones from fighting. I also like to keep a watchful eye on the pups when they join us.

When I’m taken for a walk around the pond, the humans like to make a big fuss of me. I have even heard one or two of them describe me as their favourite. I don’t like to be boastful but I think this is worth mentioning. Some of the volunteers go as far as to call me ‘Dotty.’ Frankly I find this a little too familiar, but I let it go; I know they mean well.

While I cope at Soi Dog, I believe that I deserve to be in a place within a kind family. I think the other dogs here will do just fine without me and as I get older, I know the sanctuary of a loving home will suit me well. I am ready for that now. I do hope that I don’t have to spend the rest of my years living at the shelter, as nice as it is.

I am awfully good with people. I love having my luscious coat brushed and I am terribly affectionate. I enjoy going for walks, although I am a little slower than I used to be.

Please find the space in your heart and your home to give this old girl a second chance at life. It would mean so very much to me.

Please e-mail alex@soidog.org to find out how.

Please adopt me!
