Good morning everyone! Can you tell what happened in this photo?

It was taken in 2009 in the Belum-Temengor Forest Complex when a tiger decided to bite through one of our camera traps which was housed in a Pelican casing (that is actually rated as ‘crush-proof’)! That camera trap was hence damaged from a puncture by the tiger’s canine as seen in this photo. Our biologists believe that the tiger bit the camera trap because it was curious about a foreign object in its’ territory.

Accidents as these sometime occur in the forest which require the team to buy extra camera traps. If you’d like to help fund our tiger conservation project, visit http://bit.ly/1IC31el
