CRUELTY-FREE LIVING: PINEAPPLE LEATHER!

The leather industry involves immense suffering of the animals killed for their skins, not to mention the terrible toxic effect that the tanning process has on the environment.

But there are alternatives. And a recently developed alternative – Pi�atex – is an exciting new development! Not only is it cruelty-free, but it’s much more environmentally-friendly too! Pi�atex is a sustainable textile made from pineapple leaf fibres from pineapple plants, which are a bi-product of the pineapple industry and usually discarded once the fruit has been harvested.

We can’t wait to see Pi�atex replacing traditional leather in the years to come!
