ON THE LOOKOUT FOR DOLPHINS!
Greetings from the beautiful St Johns Island! Weve been doing some land surveys at the island waiting patiently for the dolphins to surface. Some days, we have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning just to catch the high tide, but all the tiredness is offset by the beautiful sunrises we get to see. You know, they say The early bird catches the worm ! In our case, we hope to catch (see) the dolphins. There have been previous sightings of dolphins in the bay of St Johns, and we hope to see them soon!
In the near future, well be expanding our land surveys out to other islands in search for these unpredictable critters, for which we may be seeking help from volunteers. So keep tuning in to this page and our Wednesday posts featuring the latest from our dolphin project!
As for the boat surveys, we have met a few kind souls who are willing to take us out to search for the dolphins since we are boat-less at the moment. It puts such a big smile on our faces, knowing that people are so helpful. If you do know any kind souls around (or maybe if you are one of them), do link them to us and we will credit them accordingly. Thank you!
