CAN YOU SPARE A FEW HOURS TO PAINT OUR NEW TORTOISE UNITS?

Our new animal holding units for the treatment room have arrived! We were able to purchase these custom-made units thanks to your generous donations during our recent �Warmth for Walnut� fundraising project.

At ACRES, we strive to improve the lives of the animals in our care, and to also improve the work flow of our animal care officers. These wooden units will provide quarantined tortoises with a bigger and better living space while they receive treatment and recover. They will be also raised above the ground at table height. This will eliminate the need for our animal care officers to keep bending down to clean the enclosures.

But we still need your help. These units need to be protected by painting them with lacquer to make them last longer. We also need to fit them with table legs to raise them above the ground. If you have experience with handy work and are able to help us with the painting and some hands on work, let us know! We�re looking for help this weekend, the 16th and 17th of May 2015.
