EARTH DAY 2015: A BUSY TIME FOR THE OUTREACH TEAM!

Earth Day 2015 was celebrated by people all over the world on the 22nd of April. Singapore schools organised various educational programmes during the week, to remind and empower children and youths to play their part in saving our precious Planet Earth, by being more environment-conscious.

It was a busy time for the ACRES Outreach team! Nan Hua High School invited us to give an educational talk on native wildlife on the first day of their Eco-Serve Week. Punggol Primary School invited us to make a short presentation to start the beautiful morning for the pupils, and to hold an interactive exhibition on native wildlife and wildlife trade. German European School Singapore engaged us to share about protecting our native wild animals, on Earth Day itself. The student organisers also took the initiative to plan for an all-vegetarian menu served at the school canteen that day. Well done!

Huge thanks to all the teachers and students who initiated awareness programmes and activities for their schools in dedication to Earth Day! Lets motivate one another to stay environment- and animal-conscious, not only on this day but every single day, as long as Mother Earth continues to breathe.
