A CLOSE SHAVE FOR DONALD!

Meet Donald, a rock pigeon who was found floating in a canal. We were in the location investigating a python case, and were shocked to see this pigeon all wet, alive and being carried away with the flow of the water in the canal! Our rescue officer quickly climbed down to help poor Donald and, fortunately, Donald was held by a small bush within the canal, making it possible to reach him. Luckily Donald did not inhale any water into his lungs, and was bright and able to fly away after some warmth, food and a bit of a rest!
