Eileen Ng was interested to try the RetroMAD1 on her parvo puppy, Chubby. She came to my house yesterday to get some and there was a distemper pup in her car. The distemper pup, Bono, was twitching at the mouth. Since distemper is also viral in nature, the RetroMAD1 can also be used on it, though there has been no proven successful case yet. I told Eileen to give the drug to Bono as well. He looked very pitiful, twitching at the mouth and if this is the only antiviral drug that we have, we might as well try it.
Eileen came again this evening to get a bit more of the drug for Bono. I have very little left of the RetroMAD1 as this supply is meant for the TVT-dog. But TVT is not totally reliant on RetroMAD1 because chemotherapy is the main treatment and the RetroMAD1 is supposed to help quicken the regression of the tumour. Hence, the rescuer of the TVT-dog has agreed to share this supply with other more needy cases.
Chubby, the parvo puppy, is not doing well today. She vomited 4-5 times and is now jaundiced. The vet is going to give her blood transfusion tomorrow, if a matching donor can be found.
Bono, the distemper pup, on the other hand, has shown some improvement. He was previously already having seizures.
Let's all pray for both Chubby and Bono to recover quickly.
