LATEST UPDATE ON TASSA AS SHE FIGHTS TO SURVIVE�

We recently introduced you to Tassa, who arrived at our shelter in a shockingly emaciated condition. Tassa had gone for several weeks without food, after getting a fishhook caught in her mouth on the beach.

She was extremely weak when rescued and our vets feared she wouldn�t make it. Although they were able to remove the fishhook, the big risk was that Tassa would develop re-feeding syndrome, a potentially fatal condition that occurs when dogs have been starved for a long period of time.

To avoid this, we are introducing small amounts of food very gradually. Tassa is now doing better than she was, but she is not out of the woods yet. Thanks to people like you however, she stands a fighting chance.
