Appeal for Information:

Dog allegedly abandoned at Hougang St 51

[SPCA Ref. No.: AH 128025]

On 18 April 2015 (Saturday) at about 8.30am, a dog resembling a Shih-Tzu was found, allegedly abandoned, at a Senior Citizens� Fitness Corner near Blk 557 Hougang St 51. The dog was found to be in poor physical condition with flaky skin and overgrown nails.

The dog is in SPCA�s custody at the moment, and we are also appealing to keen adopters to come forward. (Keen adopters are urged to provide their full contact details, and e-mail shelter@spca.org.sg.)

The SPCA is urging anyone with information, in relation to this incident, to call its 24-hour hotline 62875355 (ext. 9), or e-mail inspector@spca.org.sg. Information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

* Under the revised Animals and Birds Act, anyone found guilty of cruelty to animals, including abandonment of any animal, can be imprisoned for up to 18 months, fined up to $15,000, or both.
