Soi Dog Foundation

My name Deon I only 2 years old. I lost one of my legs.

Soi Dog told my family what happened to my leg and they said they no longer wanted me. By not taking me back however they have given me the opportunity to find someone who truly loves me – even with a missing leg. Please CLICK on my photos to read more..

I lost one of my legs and my owner no longer wants me.

My name is Deon and I am looking for my forever home.

Even though I’m only 2 years old, I have a sad story to tell.

Animal rescue officers brought me to the Soi Dog shelter in Phuket, Thailand to be sterilised. They also said that I had been left tied up in the garden all day in the blistering heat. While at the shelter, veterinarians noticed I was limping. An x-ray confirmed I had a nasty fracture which my owners had ignored. The vets tried their hardest to fix my leg, but it became infected. They were left with no choice but to remove my leg.

Soi Dog told my family what happened to my leg and they said they no longer wanted me. By not taking me back however they have given me the opportunity to find someone who truly loves me – even with a missing leg.

At the shelter, I feel lucky to get a delicious meal everyday and unlimited water and shelter from the hot sun. However I don’t want to spend the rest of my days here in this shelter. I would really love a family of my own.

Please don’t be put off by my breed – I can assure you that I get along just fine with both people and other animals. I am living happily in a run with 20 other dogs and we are all getting along very well.

I dream of my own forever home. I dream of life with someone who will love and cherish me just as much as I will love them. If you have a place in your heart for me, please EMAIL all questions or enquiries to deb@soidog.org
