My name is Daffodil. Please ADOPT ME!

E-mail deb@soidog.org to adopt me.

I am just over 1 year old and have been living at Soi Dog, Phuket, Thailand since I was 2 months old.

I was dumped at the entrance of the Soi Dog shelter as a puppy with six of my brothers and sisters. It was a very scary start to our life. Although we were abandoned, we were extremely lucky, because if Soi Dog had not taken us in, I am pretty sure we would have died. It is very hard for a puppy to survive in the outside world without a mummy or a human to take proper care of you.

I have heard people say that I am a pretty girl. I have a shiny black coat with a white stripe on my chest. I am very shy though. It is difficult living in a run with other street dogs when you are as shy as I am. There are always more boisterous dogs than you running around, taking control of the place and when the nice people come to visit, they demand all of their attention too. At the end of the day, when the bossy dogs have worn themselves out, I quietly sneak up to our dog walker for a stroke or a scratch behind the ear. Sometimes I hide behind her and she gives me a little cuddle and makes a fuss of me. I have to be careful though because I don’t want to get attacked by one of the jealous dogs.

I love being petted and I love going for walks. Sadly I can often get overlooked because I spend most of my day hiding away. When I get taken for a walk around the pond at the shelter though, I have such a lovely time. I hear a lot of the people who come to visit the shelter, say that they would love to take me home, but as they are travelling and have no fixed abode, it would not be possible. This is such a shame as I have met some really nice people here who I would love to go home with.

Maybe you have a home that I could come and live in? I would make a lovely pet. I am affectionate and kind and it would change my life in the most wonderful way!

Please e-mail deb@soidog.org to find out how to make this happen.
