Appeal for Information:

3 rabbits found in cages outside a home (and allegedly abandoned) on Easter Sunday

[SPCA Ref. No.: AH 127769]

On 5 April 2015 (Easter Sunday) at about 9am, three rabbits in two separate cages (see photo) were found allegedly abandoned near a ground floor unit at Block 720, Woodlands Avenue 6 (see photo).

The rabbits are in SPCAs custody at the moment, and will be up for adoption once checked and treated by the vets.

The SPCA is urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call its 24-hour hotline 62875355 ext. 9 and e-mail inspector@spca.org.sg. Information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

Under the revised Animals and Birds Act, anyone found guilty of cruelty to animals, including abandonment of any animal, can be imprisoned for up to 18 months, fined up to $15,000, or both.
