Nearly 4 years ago, Shiver was found by the side of the road, close to death. Only a young puppy at the time, he was being ravaged by a shocking skin infection, which had caused all his fur to fall out. He was extremely malnourished and suffering from pneumonia.

Although Shiver has recovered physically, he is extremely frightened of people, which means he will most likely live out his entire life at our shelter � he will not be adopted.

Shiver is just one example of why we desperately need more sponsors for the dogs in our care. Many of these animals have special needs and will never be adopted � they will need to remain at our shelter.
