APPEAL FOR INFORMATION:

Puppy found alive in a rubbish bin

On Tuesday, 17 March 2015 at about 8:30am, a white male puppy was found, allegedly dumped, alive, in a green rubbish bin near unit 21G Jansen Road by the units domestic helper.

A kind resident from the area then took the puppy in and had it sent to a nearby vet for a check-up. The puppy was found to have the parvo virus, and sadly succumbed to its illness early this morning. The puppy also bears microchip number: 458-098-500-249-002

The SPCA is urging anyone with information on the culprit(s) responsible for this cruel act, to call its 24-hour hotline at 62875355 ext 9 or e-mail inspector@spca.org.sg. Information provided will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

* Under the Animals and Birds Act, anyone found guilty of such an offence including abandonment of any animal, can be imprisoned for up to 18 months, fined up to $15,000, or both.*
