THE REAL ISIS

When we met this Isis, a 10 pound cat who was discarded by her family, we thought long and hard about whether or not to change her name. Should she continue to enjoy this special name given to her by the family who once loved her? Should she share her name with a terrorist group responsible for so much violence?

In the end we decided the name belongs to her. She epitomizes gentleness, patience, love and forgiveness. She’s feeling like herself again, very happy with her new family who would never dream of abandoning her. We have no doubt she has forgiven her first family for putting her out. She’s willing to share her meal with any dog. She greets each visitor as if they are royalty. She surely loves to nibble catnip from the garden. And she’s as tidy as she can possibly be. Isis is truly a love and we think she’s earned the distinction of this beautiful name. As for those other guys, well, perhaps we can think of a few other names for them….
