Cow Opens His Eyea Wee Bit
Tweet | ![]() |
Cow spent the whole of yesterday on his springy bed, clearly quite upset about having to wear the e-collar. With some difficulty, we managed to put his eyedrops as instructed by the vet – the eyedrops every 2 hours and the ointment at night, before we went to bed.
The main ingredient in Cow’s eyedrops and ointment is chloramphenicol. Caregivers must be aware of certain precautions when administering this medication:http://csu-cvmbs.colostate.edu/vth/Documents/pharmacy-chloramphenicol-ophthalmic.pdf
This morning, I found Cow without his e-collar. He had taken it off. And, seemed much happier. I also noticed he could open his right eye – almost by half. I hope this means the eye is getting better.
I could not get the e-collar back on him, though.
Don’t disturb me, I’m grooming myself.
I do hope it wasn’t the serai leaves that poked his eye…
You see, Oreo, our serai is getting mutilated too.
So it’s been an hour after breakfast now, and I still cannot get him to wear the e-collar.
We want to know which of you “birds” injured our big brother’s eye!
We are not going to take the blame for something we didn’t do!!
