Weekly Edu-tip: Pet fur causing asthma? Not necessarily so!
Many people have been under the impression that pet fur is the cause of asthma. However, many times, it has been the case that the allergens in our environment are the trigger factors in those already diagnosed with asthma. (Potential allergens include pollution, dust, pollen, dust mites and pet dander.)
If you do suspect that pet fur is what triggers your attack, you should seek out a physician to conduct proper allergy tests to confirm this before ascribing the allergy to the animal.
